Tender for Jambi coal-fired power plant to start early 2014

State-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) plans to hold tender for the construction of a 2x400 MW coal-fired power plant in Jambi early next year.
?God Willing, the tender will begin in early 2014. The project is currently at the feasibility study phase,? Head of Coal Division at PLN, Helmi Najamuddin told Petromindo.com Tuesday.
The power plant is expected to require 2.7 million tons of coal per year. ?The power plant is projected to start commercial operation in 2020,? Helmi said.
