Tender for Tangguh Train 3 FEED closed

The tender for the Onshore LNG FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) scope of work to support the Tangguh Train 3 expansion project in West Papua has just closed at the end of September, BP Plc, the leader of the Tangguh consortium said on Tuesday.
?A thorough evaluation and approval period will now commence, and we expect to be able to announce in the first quarter of 2014,? William Lin, BP Regional President Asia Pacific told Petromindo.com.
The previous reports say the tender drew three consortium participants. The first consortium comprises of PT. Rekayasa Industri, JGC Corporation, PT. KBR Indonesia and PT. JGC Indonesia.
The second consortium consists of PT. Tripatra Engineers and Constructors, PT. Tripatra Engineering, PT. Chiyoda International Indonesia, PT. Saipem Indonesia, PT. Suluh Ardhi Engineering and Chiyoda Corporation.
And the third consortium comprises of PT. Technip Indonesia, Samsung Engineering Co. Ltd, PT. Technip Engineering Indonesia, Technip France and PT. Wijaya Karya
As reported earlier, the Tangguh Train 3 facility will have a capacity of 3.8 million tons per annum, about 40 percent of which to be dedicated to the domestic market. It is expected to come on stream in 2018.
Lin also said as of Sept. 29, 2013 Tangguh has delivered 82 LNG cargoes to customers.
