Total E&P Indonesie (TEPI) is currently conducting land preparation for planned drilling work at the Southwest Bird?s Head (SWB) in South Sorong, Papua.
?Currently, land preparations are on going for the drilling (work) at the Southwest Bird?s Head block in South Sorong, Papua, among others dredging activity is still in progress because the Anggrek Hitam exploration well is located in swamp area,? Head of Media Relations of TEPI, Kristanto Hartadi told Petromindo.com Monday.
Kristanto added that once the drilling area is ready, the Maera rig (swamp barge) will be shipped out from the Mahakam block in East Kalimantan to South Sorong, which will take about 12-14 days. ?Drilling is expected to start end of June at the latest.?
On May 30, IDX-listed PT Indika Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary PT Indika Multi Daya Energi has completed the acquisition of a 10 percent participating interest in the Total-operated SBW PSC. TEPI now holds the remaining 90 percent interest.
