Terex bags Indonesian heavy equipment supply order

US heavy equipment maker Terex Corporation announced Wednesday it had been awarded orders by Australian mining contractor Henry Walker Eltin (HWE) to supply fleets of both trucks and excavators to be used in a major contract mining operation in Indonesia.

Terex did not give specific detail about the mine, but, according to HWE's website, it was contracted to do coal mining operations by East Kalimantan coal producer PT.Tanito Harum. HWE had also just won US$ 1.2 billion works from coalminer PT. Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC).

The total value of the order is in excess of US$55 million.

According to Terex, the equipment to be supplied includes five 150-ton capacity haul trucks, ten 240-ton capacity haul trucks and six backhoe excavators.(alex)
