Test on Arun-Belawan pipeline completed

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) said it has just finished testing its gas pipeline stretching from Arun in Aceh to Belawan in North Sumatra.

The firm is also finalizing the Gas Transportation Agreement (GTA) and Gas Sales Agreement (GSA) with PT Medco EP Indonesia for gas from Block A in Aceh, an official of the firm said.

?Pipe test has been completed. We are now waiting for gas to come in, which is expected to happen in the middle of this month,? Pertagas?s Corporate Secretary Wianda Pusponegoro told petromindo.com.

She did not specify the source of the gas but earlier reports said ExxonMobil will start sending its gas from Arun field into the pipeline starting early this month.
