Workers of PT Thiess Contractor Indonesia (TCI), a contractor of South Kalimantan-based coal miner PT Arutmin Indonesia, were still on strike by Monday, local daily Banjarmasin Post reported on Tuesday.

The workers insisted that TCI?s maintenance supervisor, Effendi, be not allowed to stay in their workplace in Kelumpang in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan.

They said they would get back to work only after Effendi had left their place.

They complained Effendi was too arrogant, and went on strike last Thursday after the company insisted to keep him in Kelumpang. (*)
