Three ministers to sign MOU on electricity

Three ministers are scheduled today (Thursday) to sign a memorandum of understanding on joint efforts to promote the development of small-scale power generation plants in Indonesia using locally made technology, products, goods and service.

The three ministers are Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister of Industry and Trade Rini MS Soewandi and Minister of Research and Technology Hatta Radjasa, according to Investor daily.

As a pilot project, they will develop a small-scale coal-fired power plant in Sangatta, East Kalimantan, which will have two power units each with the capacity of 7 Megawatts (MW). (*)
