Thriveni allocates $22m for river infrastructure

Coal mining company PT Thriveni, a subsidiary of Indian mining firm Thriveni Earthmovers, has allocated a total of US$22 million in capital expenditure for 2014 to build facilities that will make it easier for the firm to transport its coal through the Batanghari river in Jambi.
C.Kumaresan, Thriveni's Country Head in Indonesia told Petromindo.com that of the total budget, $15 million is allocated for the development of barge jetty, $2 million for river dredging and $5 million for the development of loading and unloading facilities.
Thriveni has a 3,700 ha coal concession in Mandiangin district, Sarolangun regency, which it operates through PT Minemax Indonesia.
