Thriveni plans to haul coal via river

Coal miner company, PT Thriveni is focusing on development of infrastructure for hauling line to allow the company to transport all its coal mined from Jambi via the river.

The company's country head, C. Kumaresan told Petromindo.Com that the company will have their own jetty at Talang Duku, Jambi.

"We are targeting to haul the coal through river, and we have a project for deepening the river this year," he said.

So far, only half of its coal production is transported through Trembesi River and Batang Hari River.

The company is aiming to produce 1.5 millions tons of coal from its mine in Jambi this year.

The company is currently mining the coal through PT Minemex Indonesia from a concession which has a total area of 4,000 hectares in Jambi.
