Thriveni to commence production of two more concessions in Jambi

Coal miner PT Thriveni said that it would commence the first production of its two concessions in Jambi this year with the total expected production of 1.5 million tons having the calorific value of 5,300-5,700 kcal/kg.

The company?s country head C Kumaresan said that with the production of two concessions, the company would produce a total of 3 million tons this year.

?We have five coal concessions in Jambi. One has been in operation with the annual output of 1.5 million tons. We expect another two concessions would commence the first production in 2012 with a total output of 1.5 million tons,? he told Petromindo.com.

The two concessions are located in Mandiangin, Saralangun and Batanghari regency.

He said that about 70 percent of the production would be exported among others to India, with the remaining to be supplied for domestic.
