TIA doubles coal output

South Kalimantan coal miner PT Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA), a coal unit of PT Reswara Minergi Hartama, produced 1.1 million tons in the first quarter of 2013, double compared to the same period of last year at 570,000 tons, a company official told Petromindo.Com
The official said that TIA mine is on track to produce around 4.5-5 million tons of coal this year. As of April, the company has produced 1.5 million tons of coal, the source said.
At the present, the company?s coal buyers are all from China, the source said.
TIA started coal production in August 2009. The mine is located in Sei Loban, Angsana, Tanah Bumbu regency, which produces coal with calorific value of 5600 ? 5800 kcal/kg (ADB).
