TIA expects higher 2013 coal output

South Kalimantan coal miner PT Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA), a coal unit of PT Reswara Minergi Hartama, aims to produce 4.5-5 million tons within this year, up from last year?s total output of 3.8 million tons, a company official told Petromindo.Com
Last year?s total output was slightly lower compared to the company?s target of 4 million tons. TIA had lowered its coal output then due to unfavorable market situation, the source said.
As of March, the company has produced about 1 million tons of coal, the source added.
TIA started coal production in August 2009. The mine is located in Sei Loban, Angsana, Tanah Bumbu regency, which produces coal with calorific value of 5600 ? 5800 kcal/kg (ADB).
Reswara is the coal mining unit of the IDX-listed group PT ABM Investama Tbk.
