TIA maintains output target despite weak market

PT Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA), a coal mining subsidiary company of PT Reswara Minergi Hartama, will maintain its coal production target of 5.5 million tons this year despite the current weak global coal market. The company reached its peak production of 5.5 million tons in 2014.

?Amid the current (market) situation, we still produce coal at maximum capacity, while other miners are downsizing or even suspending their operations,? TIA President Director Feriwan Sinatra said to Petromindo.com recently.

TIA?s mining concession is located in Loban River and Kusan Hulu area, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan within an area of 3,074 ha. The concession area has been positively confirmed containing 52 million metric tons coal reserves from 106 million metric tons resources with estimated life of mine for 13 years.
