Tiara Bumi makes oil find in S. Sumatra

Upstream oil, gas regulator BPMIGAS said that local oil, gas firm PT Tiara Bumi Petroleum has completed two exploration wells in West Air Komering PSC, onshore South Sumatra with hydrocarbon discovery in one well.

BPMIGAS spokesman Elan Biantoro told Petromindo.Com that the well, which called Sampurna-1 well has flowed ?significant? oil, but he did not give details.

The well was spudded late last year.

Another well called Sampurna North East has been categorized ?inconclusive? due to mud invasion during flow testing. BPMIGAS has ordered Tiara to pump the well the get the mud out, Elan said. (bernard)
