Tidore project will need 90,000 tons per year of coal supply: PLN

The 2x7 MW Tidore coal-fired power plant located in North Maluku, a project belonging to state utility firm PT PLN, is nearing completion and will need a total coal supply of 90,000 tons a year once it is in operation.

Head of Coal Division at PLN Helmi Najamuddin told petromindo.com in Jakarta that the power plant project as of October 5, has reached 93.67 percent to completion and is expected to commence operation by December 30, 2013.

The project is being developed by the Shandong Rekdaya consortium, Hilmi added.

?The coal supply meanwhile will come from Oktasan and PT Dwi Guna Laksana,? he said without further elaboration.
