Timah Director Purwijayanto told Petromindo.com recently the company is waiting for the completion of the Pre-FS before making a proposal to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN for approval. No further details were provided.
As has been reported previously, Timah is teaming up with IDX-listed construction and engineering firm PT Adhi Karya Tbk to develop the estimated Rp 3 trillion coal-fired power plant to be located near Timah?s coal mine, which has reserves of about 60 million tons.
Timah, which holds a 51 percent stake in the project and Adhi Karya 49 percent, wanted construction of the project to be started this year in the hope that it could start commercial operation in 2019.
