IDX-listed tin giant PT Timah Tbk hopes to be able to start tin production at its concession in Myanmar in the second half of 2015 once it obtains the exploration permit from that country government.
?If the permit is obtained this year, then production can start in the second half of 2015 because exploration work requires about 6 months to one year,? said Timah President Director Sukrisno on Tuesday.
He said that the remaining permit that needs to be obtained is in relation with the historical sites located within the company?s concession. ?But the Vietnamese government welcomes us. They have proposed a number of state firms to become our partner in developing the concessions. We?re reviewing this,? he said.
