Timah Industri?s sales volume jumps to 300t

IDX-listed tin giant PT Timah Tbk said that its subsidiary PT Timah Industri, which started production of tin solders at its plant in Cilegon, Banten, in September of last year saw sales volume of the product surged to 300 tons in the first semester of this year, from 7.2 tons last year.

Timah Corporate Secretary Agung Nugroho told petromindo.com on Thursday that the subsidiary is expected to contribute between 5-10 percent of the company?s total revenue this year. ?We?ll assure that Timah Industri will (make) positive (contribution) this year.?

Agung also said that its plants, which produce stannic chloride and tin intermediate products, have started production following commissioning at the end of last year. As of the first semester of this year, stannic chloride production reached 45 tons of the total installed capacity of 500 tons.

Meanwhile, output of tin intermediate products reached 582 tons of the installed capacity of 8,000 tons.
