Timah looks for partner to develop dormant coal concession

State tin miner PT. Timah Tbk. said the company is looking for partner to develop its dormant coal mining concession in East Kalimantan, company president Thobrani Alwi said.

Timah is 100 percent owner of PT. Timah Batubara Utama, a coalmine concession in Berau regency. Thobrani said the prospect has huge low-quality reserves and far from the sea. ?Timah is looking for investors that can commercialize the reserves,? he said.

Timah signed coal contract of work on the concession in 19997. (alex)
