IDX-listed tin miner PT Timah will produce 49,000 tons of tin-in-concentrate next year, similar to this year?s expected production, the company?s director said on Thursday.

?Next year, our productions will be around 49,000 tons,? Finance Director Krisna Syarif said.

The firm's tin-in-concentrate production in third quarter of 2009 reached 15,466 tons, up 32 percent from 11,693 tons in the first semester of the year. The firm produced a total of 27,160 tons of tin-concentrate up to the end of September 2009.

In March 2009, Corporate Secretary Abrun Abubakar said that with the sharp decline in the world's demand, the company had no plan to increase production this year. In 2008, the company?s tin metal production dropped by about 16 percent to 49,029 tons from 58,325 tons in 2007. Total sales also fell by 20 percent to 46,438 tons from 57,897 tons in 2007, he said.
