Timah to start tin chemical production in April

IDX-listed tin miner PT Timah expects to begin operating its tin chemical factory, which located in Cilegon, Banten in April this year.
?The construction of the factory will be completed this month and it will be commissioned in March. We expect it can start production in April,? Timah president director Wachid Usman said Wednesday.
Tin chemical is mostly used in the plastic industry. Timah began building the factory in January 2009, with a total investment of Rp 79.54 billion (1US$ = Rp 9,350).
The factory is expected to produce up to 10,000 tons of tin chemical a year. Wachid said the output would be exported to Japan and South Korea. (*)
