The consortium of PT Timas Suplindo and Subsea 7 is believed to have offered the lowest bid in an EPC tender for the Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF) in Chevron's IDD (Gehem-Gendalo) project, according to an industrial source.

The source told petromindo.com that the consortium put in a US$1.9 billion worth of offer. The budget allocation that Chevron set aside for the work is $2 billion.

Chevron is also currently in the process of a tender for the floating production unit (FPU) for the IDD project.

The IDD project, located in the Makassar Strait, off shore East Kalimantan is scheduled to be on stream in April 2015 for the Bangka field, November 2016 for Gendalo field, and May 2017 for Gehem field.
