Indonesia's tin exports have doubled in the first four months of this year from the same period last year, according to the estimate of the Ministry of Trade.
Director General for mining products Agus Tjahjono said the estimate of his office' surveyors showed that tin exports increased to 33,810 tons during the Jan-April period from 16,555 tons during the same period last year.
He said the increase was possible due to the rise in the number of smelters in Indonesia's tin producing area Bangka allowed to operate and export the tin metal. (*)
