Indonesia exported 6,774.6 metric tons of refined tin in January, a 20 percent decrease compared to 8,508.4 tons in December last year, a Trade Ministry official said on Tuesday

?Heavy rains disrupted mining activities in Bangka, reducing supplies of tin ore to smelters,? Alberth Yusuf Tubogu, the ministry's director for industry and mining products exports told reporters in Jakarta.

Exports came from 10 companies, including state-owned PT Timah, and PT Koba Tin, a unit of Malaysia Smelting Corp., he said. (*)
