Tin exports fall 45% in April, govt issues more licenses

Indonesia's monthly tin exports plunged by 45 percent in April from the previous month, Trade Ministry data showed.

Indonesia shipped 6,082 metric tons of refined tin last month, compared with 11,086 tons in March, Alberth Yusuf Tubogu, Export Director for Mining Products at the ministry, told reporters Tuesday in Jakarta.

The government has issued three more licenses to ship refined tin, bringin the number of Indonesia?s licensed exporters to 27, he said. The three exporters are PT Babel Inti Perkasa, PT Artha Cipta Langgeng and PT Timah Nusantara. (*)
