Tin exports rise in 2009

Indonesia exported 99,287 metric tons of refined tin in 2009, a 13 percent increase from 88,161 tons a year earlier.
In December, Indonesia shipped 8,508 tons of the refined metal, compared with 8,166 tons in November, Trade Ministry has said in a statement.
More than three quarters of the tin exports were sent to Singapore. The rest was exported to Malaysia, South Korea, the Netherlands, China, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the trade ministry said. (*)
