Tin exports rise slightly in July

Indonesia?s monthly tin exports only rose slightly in July despite a decline in prices and demand from international buyers.
According to the latest data issued by the Ministry of Trade, the volume of tin exports in July rose by 1.3 percent to 8,778.38 tons from 8,661 tons in May. However, in terms of value, the tin exports in July dropped to US$116 million in July from $123.1 million in May.
About 6,452.47 tons of the tin exports were sent to Singapore. The rest was exported to Malaysia, South Korea, the Netherlands, China, Japan, Taiwan and Spain, the ministry said. (*)
