Titan Mining commences coal export

Coal mining firm PT.Titan Mining Energy has commenced first export to Malaysia and Thailand from its mines in Jambi.
CEO Sutrisno Wibowo as quoted by Bisnis Indonesia daily said that the company would export 600,000 tonnes of coal in 2007, ramping up to 1.5MT in 2008.
Titan has eight mining concession in Jambi, covering total area of 50,000 hectares and 15,000 hectares in East Kalimantan.
The company will also develop its huge lignite resources in Jambi as it had won the contract to supply 3.5MTPA to PLN?s proposed Suralaya, Labuan, Rembang and Parit Baru power plants starting 2010 for 20 years. (*)
