PT Titan Infra Energy, a coal mining and infrastructure company, plans to develop a mine mouth power plant in South Sumatra.
"We already submitted the pre-feasibility study of the project to PLN," Titan's Director Tjhie Sugianto said to Petromindo.com recently.
However, Tjhie mentioned that Titan and PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) (Persero), state-owned utility firm, are still in discussion regarding the power capacity of the mine mouth power plant.
"We want a bigger power capacity to meet the economic scale of the project," Tjhie said.
Titan owns two coal concession in South Sumatra namely PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera (BAS) in Muara Enim District and PT Banjarsari Pribumi (BP) in Lahat District. BAS owns 103 million tons of coal resources with low ash and sulfur content.
