Toba Bara reports lower coal output

IDX-listed coal miner PT Toba Bara Sejahtra Tbk said that coal output in the second quarter of this year slightly declined to 1.2 million tons from 1.3 million tons in the corresponding quarter of last year.

The company said in a recent statement that coal production as per the first semester of this year totaled 2.3 million tons, slightly less than half of its full-year production guidance of 5-6 million tons.

The company said that its mine plan prioritizes maintaining coal reserves, while also striving to achieve desirable margin per ton of output.

The company currently has four operating subsidiaries, three in coal mining namely PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara (ABN), PT Indomining (IM), and PT Trisensa Mineral Utama (TMU) located in East Kalimantan.
