Toba Bara?s coal unit to double 2013 output

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Trisensa Mineral Utama (TMU), coal unit of IDX-listed coal miner group PT Toba Bara Sejahtera is expecting to double its coal output to 1 million tons in 2013, from this year?s target of about 500,000 tons.
The company is currently completing the construction of mine infrastructure such as hauling, jetty port to boost its coal output. At the present the company is using PT Nusa Dua Makmur jetty port.
TMU's concession area covers about 3,414 hectares, located in Loa Janan, Muara Jawa and Sanga-Sanga, Kutai kartanegara regency.
The mine has started commercial production in October 2011 with initial production of 40,000 tons. TMU currently produces a coal product called ?Trisensa-47?, which has a calorific value of 4,700 kcal/kg (GAR) and total sulhpur of 0.4%.
The contractor that handles overburden and coal mining for the site is PT Surya Teknik Anugerah. The mine?s hauling distance is about 17 kilometer to jetty port at Mahakam river.
As of October 31, 2011, exploration study initiated on approximately 680ha of the 3,414ha within TMU's concession areas have estimated total reserves of 8 million tons and total resources of 43 million tons.
