Toba Bara unit plans mine mouth power plant

Coal miner PT Trisensa Mineral Utama, a subsidiary of IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Toba Bara Sejahatera Tbk, is considering to build a mine mouth power plant near its concession in East Kalimantan.
Trisensa Finance Director Elim Khiat said Wednesday that the company has applied for the necessary permits.
He added that it has allocated US$6 million to finance the planned coal-fired power plant project. He did not provide further details. ?Let?s just see what happens this year,? he said.
Trisensa operates a coal concession in Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, which started commercial production in 2012.
