IDX-listed coal mining company PT Toba Bara Sejahtera Tbk plans to raise output by 14.5 percent next year from the realized output of this year, which is estimated at 6.4 million tons.

?The plan to raise output was made in view of our experiences last year and this year. Besides, it was made on the assumption that next year?s coal price next year will not be much different from this year?s,? Director Pandu Syahrir told Petromindo.com during the firm?s public expose in Jakarta on Wednesday.

With regards marketing plan, Syahrir said the firm will focus on selling its output to end buyers rather than traders.

?The end buyers include Malaysian firm Tenaga Bhd and Japanese firms,? he said.

The firm has three concessions in East Kalimantan through subsidiaries PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara, PT Indomining and PT Trisensa Mineral Utama. The three concessions have combined reserves of 147 million tons and resources of 236 million tons with a calorific value of 4,700-5,800 kcal/kg GAR.
