Top banks to provide Rp 12t loan for PLN

The country?s major state-controlled banks including BRI, Mandiri and BNI plan to provide a combined Rp 12 trillion loan facility for state-owned electricity firm PT PLN in the second half of this year, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.
The paper quoted BRI Head of Business Division I Made Suka as saying that BRI will become the lead arranger.
He said that the loan would be used to help finance PLN?s power plant and transmission projects.
Last year, BRI, BNI, BCA, Indonesia Eximbank and PT Sarana Multi Infrastrukture provided a similar loan facility for PLN. (*)
