Total confirms fire accident

East Kalimantan oil and gas company Total Indonesie confirmed the fire accident that occurred Friday morning at its Tumu Phase 7 project.

But the local Kaltim Post daily quoted Total public relations chief Nurul Fazrie as saying that the company managed to put off the fire in nine minutes and did not cause serious losses to the company.

Nurul also confirmed that four employees of the company's contractor PT Punj Llyod was injured. Three were currently hospitalized at Pertamina Hospital in Jakarta at the request of their family, and one had been allowed to go home. (*)
