Total E&P has drilled 56 new wells

As of June, Total E&P Indonesie has drilled 56 new wells and targeted to increase the number of the wells drilled to 100 within the Mahakam block, East Kalimantan. The activities aim to help the firm arrest the production decline at the block as quoted by Media Indonesia.
Last year, production hit 2,227 mmscfd of gas and 81,600 barrels of oil per day.
Head of Operation Support Department Puguh Sarwono said the firm has allocated US$2.5 billion of investment per year, including for drilling activities. At present, Total is working on 9 new drilling rigs.(*)
