Total encounters dry hole at Anggrek Hitam 1X well

Oil and gas company Total E&P Indonesie has encountered dry hole in the recent drilling of the Anggrek Hitam 1X well in South West Bird?s Head block in West Papua, the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas said.

Head of Survey and Drilling at SKK Migas, Arif Fanshuri told Petromindo.com Wednesday that Total is currently evaluating the drilling program at the well.

Total E&P Indonesie began the drilling program in the fourth week of June. The block is 90 percent owned by Total E&P Indonesie West Papua, with the remaining 10 percent held by PT Indika Energy.
