Total exercises options to extend Apexindo rig contract

Drilling rig provider PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk said on Monday that East Kalimantan gas producer Total E&P Indonesie has exercised option to extend the contract of rig ?Soehenah? by another 9 months, making the total length of the contract to 31 months.

Under the extension, Soehanah contract will end on February 2010. The project commenced on May 2007 valued at approximately USD 166.7 million.

Rig Soehanah is a super premium rig which was built in 2007. The Baker Marine Pacific 375 Class specification rig is capable of operating in high pressure and high temperature wells with drilling depth and water depth capabilities of 30,000 feet and 375 feet respectively.(denny)
