Total expects drilling results of Tongkol-1 well in October, plans drilling in Mentawai

Total EP Indonesie (TEPI) is currently monitoring the progress of drilling program at the Tongkol-1 well in Southeast Mahakam PSC, the final results of which are expected to be obtained in October of this year.

Drilling program at Tongkol-1 well started in May 2013. ?Drilling is still in progress, and the results are evaluated continuously. The entire process is expected to be completed in October,? Head of Media Relations at TEPI, Kristanto Hartadi told Petromindo.com Wednesday.

Separately, Head of Survey and Drilling Division at upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Arief Fanshuri said that his office is monitoring TEPI?s plan to carry out seismic activity at the Mentawai block, offshore Bengkulu.

SKK Migas is also helping TEPI to find for rig to implement drilling program at Mentawai, which hopefully could arrive mid October to start drilling.
