Total E&P Indonesie (TEPI), a subsidiary of French firm Total SA, is now in the process of relinquishing South Sageri exploration block offshore East Kalimantan

This was said by Arividya Novriyanto, TEPI?s VP for Human Resources, Communication and General Services on Tuesday.

The block is located in the southeastern part of the Makassar Strait, west of the coast of Pangkajene in South Sulawesi, and covers an area of 3,889 sqkm in water depths ranging from 800 to 1,800 meters. The block used to belong to TEPI, Thai firm PTTEP and Canadian firm Talisman Energy, but PTTEP and Talisman have transferred all of its interest in the block to TEPI, so it is now 100 percent owned by TEPI.
