Total seeks partner to develop Bengkulu I-Mentawai block

Total EP Indonesie is seeking partners to share the risks in developing the Bengkulu I-Mentawai block, offshore Bengkulu province.
Total has requested to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to open up the dataroom for the block to facilitate the entry of the would-be partners.
?Exxon, PTTEP Thailand, Indika Energi have requested for the data room to be opened,? said Yunan Muzafar, a senior official at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas to Petromindo.com on Friday, without providing further detail.
Total holds a 100 percent interest in the Bengkulu I-Mentawai block after signing a production sharing contract in October of last year. The exploration block, located in the offshore Kutei Basin in Bengkulu province, covers an area of 2,369 square kilometers with water depths in the range of 300 1,000 meters and adjacent to the country?s most prolific gas producing offshore Mahakam block, also operated by Total.
