Total targets to sell 13.5 million of fuel in Indonesia this year

"The firm entered the domestic market retail sector in November last year. We have recieved a fee amounting Rp 72 million for the sale of 3.8 million liters of IDO from November through December," Adi Subagio, the committee member of oil and gas upstream authority BPH Migas, told Petromindo.com on Thursday, via phone.
The firm has planned to sell 13.563.000 liters of HSD and gasoline this year.
None of Total's officials were immediately available to confirm the statement.
But, in May last year, the French firm unveiled the plant to enter the country's fuel retail sector.
The firm's VP Supply, Logistics and Consumers Debut Kamajaya then told Petromindo it would ship HSD from Singapore to the company?s terminal in Merak, Banten province.
The company will initially target industrial consumers in Greater Jakarta and West Java and then move to build up to three retail gas stations in Jakarta, he said.
He also said the firm had clinched fuel storage agreement with a PT. Dover Chemical, a unit of U.S. chemical ICC Industries Inc. and fuel transportation deal with PT. Petrotrans Indonesia in April last year. (Godang)
