Total to build Jakarta?s largest gas station

French energy giant Total SA is planning to open at least one retail gas station in Jakarta by the end of the year and another one early next year, a company official said on Thursday.

The first station will be opened in Jl. Pemuda, East Jakarta by year-end and another one in Gatot Subroto early next year, Ananda Idris, an official representing Total Oil Indonesia, an Indonesian downstream unit of Total, told Petromindo.Com.

Ananda said the second gas station would be come the largest retail station in Jakarta.

He added that depending on the results of the first two stations, Total may move to build up to 10 new stations next year. (alex)
