Total to drill well in South West Bird?s Head Block April

Total E&P Indonesie has allocated US$40 million to drill one well in the South West Bird?s Head Block in Papua in April of this year.

?We?ll drill one exploration well, Black Orchid which would cost about $40 million at the South West Bird's Head in Papua starting April 2013 as planned,? Head of Media Department of Total E&P Indonesie Kristanto Hartadi told Petromindo.com Friday.

In Bengkulu, Sumatra, the local unit of France-based oil and gas firm Total has started early exploration activity and various studies to determine the potential of an oil and gas block there.
