Total to remain active in 2013

Total E&P Indonesie (TEPI), a unit of French energy giant Total SA, announced its plans for next year, which include the continuation of seismic activities in north west side of Tunu field, in addition to Peciko phase 7 project as well as South Mahakam phase 1&2 ? all within the Mahakam block in East Kalimantan.
Arividya Novianto, VP for HR, Audit, General Services and Communication at TEPI, said that those projects are to help complement the natural declining production at the block. Until the end of 2012, production is expected to average 66,000 barrels of oil per day and 1,770 mmscfd of gas per day.
The South Mahakam project consists of the phased development of 3 gas condensate fields (Stupa, East Mandu and Jumelai) and 2 gas fields (Jempang and Metulang), located approximately 35 km Southeast of Balikpapan and 58 km South of Peciko field.
The Phase 1 and 2 development consists of production facilities of the Stupa and East Mandu fields with the installation of 3 new platforms (Main Stupa, West Stupa and East Mandu) and the drilling of 19 wells.
Also, Total will continue to boost operation by planning to add more than 100 development wells next year and install 2 more offshore rigs.
