Trada says Hanochem Shipping to focus on transporting LNG

PT Trada Maritime Tbk, an oil and gas offshore supporting company, said it will transform PT Hanochem Shipping into a shipping firm focusing on transporting liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Teguh Arya Putra, President Director of PT Hanochem Shipping, said "the company will develop the transportation of gas business seriously and is ready to become an operator of national LNG utilization.?

Hanochem Shipping is a joint venture company established by Trada with its partner Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL).

Teguh made the statement after conducting the inauguraton ceremony of the maiden shipment of liquefied natural gas by LNG Aquarius vessel owned by Hanochem on April 25, 2012.

The vessel will ship LNG produced by Bontang LNG plant to the Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) West Java at the Jakarta Bay. It will supply LNG totaling 11.75 million tons to the FSRU for 11 years.
