Trafigura wins Senipah condensate tender

Singapore-based oil trader Trafigura has won the bid to sell the Indonesian government?s portion of condensate produced from the Senipah field.

Agus Budiyanto, Head of Communications Unit at the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, said that Trafigura offered the highest premium price of US$2.3 above the Senipah Condensate ICP.

SKK Migas held on Monday the tender for lifting period of September-October 2013 with a volume of 400,000-500,000 barrels. The upstream authority initially invited 35 registered traders to participate in the tender, but it then banned Singapore-based trader Kernel Oil, following recent allegation that a senior official of the company had bribed now suspended SKK Migas chairman Rudi Rubiandini.

Seven traders participated in the tender, but three of them could not meet the required criteria.
