Transmigrants file lawsuit against Santa Fe Energy Resources

Transmigrants in the Malawele area in Sorong, Papua province, plan to file a lawsuit against oil and gas firm Santa Fe Energy Resources to demand a compensation for the land acquired by the company.
The local Irja Post daily quoted the transmigrants lawyer Muhamad Syukur as saying that the people had failed an earlier attempt to sue the company.
But he said that a new lawsuit would be filed at the local court. (*)
