Tria Talang Emas mulls building 100MW power plant in Batam

Malaysian firm Ho Hup Construction Company Berhad reported Tuesday that its 70 percent-owned subsidiary, PT Tria Talang Emas (TTE), had recently executed a power purchase agreement with PT Pembangunan Kota Batam (PKB) for the design, construct, own, operate and maintain a 100-megawatt power plant to be located in Batam, Kepulauan Riau province.
Ho Hup said in statement to Bursa Malaysia that under the agreement TTE is obligated to generate and deliver all its electrical energy to PKB.
Ho Hup however said the effectiveness of the agreement is conditional upon various conditions precedent. (Robert)
