Triangle appoints new country manager for Indonesia

ASX-listed Triangle Energy (Global) Limited announced Tuesday the appointment of Tony Anson as the new Country Manager in Indonesia, replacing Robert Lemmey who resigned from the post and from the non-executive director of the company.
The company said that Anson will also continue in his role as the company?s Drilling Manager. Anson has been part of Triangle's Management team since September 2010 and he has an extensive management and technical background in the oil and gas industry spanning 28 years.
He brings a proven track record, delivering multi facet projects from many regions, including South East Asia, Middle East and West Africa. Previous contracts include Total, Petronas and Chevron. His long-standing working relationship and local knowledge of Indonesia is a particular asset with over 15 years drilling experience in Indonesia.
Anson will provide essential support to promote the successful award of future PSCs and company growth.
As reported by this portal, the Indonesian upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas on August 24 extended Triangle?s appointment as the temporary operator of the Pase block in Aceh for six months from the date, or until the definitive operator is appointed, whichever occurs first.
Triangle has operated and produced gas from the Pase field since 2009. The company in July signed an agreement with the Aceh provincial government-owned company PDPA to set up a joint venture called Aceh Pase Global Energy Pte Ltd (APGE), which aims to become the operator of the Pase block under a planned new 3-year PSC. APGE is 75 percent owned by Triangle.
